Dave Engman, with over 45 years of experience in the baking industry, has transitioned his wealth of knowledge from a prominent consulting role across North America to founding Sierra Sourdough with his wife, Trish. This home bakery is where the public can directly enjoy the fruits of Dave’s extensive expertise, now focused on the craft of sourdough bread making.
Sourdough was chosen for its natural fermentation process, which not only eliminates the need for commercial yeast but also offers significant health benefits. This method enhances the bread’s digestibility, increases the availability of nutrients, and introduces beneficial probiotics. Dave and Trish’s commitment to sourdough reflects their dedication to producing bread that is both nourishing and delicious.
